1.	What is a Virtual Server? We specialize in virtual Web hosting, which means that you can find a home for your Web site on our high performance Web servers and establish your presence on the Internet with your own unique domain name. Our shared hosting environment gives you the benefits of high performance servers, high bandwidth connectivity that can seamlessly grow with your needs, guaranteed reliability and around-the-clock support, all at a small fraction of the cost of doing it yourself. A virtual server is part of a system which is capable of hosting multiple IP addresses. This system allows a single machine to act as many separate "virtual" systems.

2.	How do I get my Web Page Statistics? Each virtual server comes with it's own cofigurable stats system that can be set by the user. You also can download the raw log file to and use any web stat program.

3.	How can we offer 5 gigabytes a month of data transfer and unlimited e-mail? We believe that a majority of people are not going to need a great deal of bandwidth, or e-mail accounts. In the long run, people with small web sites are not over charged and people with large web sites get a "Bigger bang for their Buck". However, if an individual site is going to monopolize server performance and/or resources, then these sites may have to be re-evaluated and assigned a dedicated server for their hosting needs.

4.	Can I host an adult site on your servers? We do not allow adult sites on our servers because of their controversial nature. We do not condone the practice of pornography on the Internet.

5.	Can I give away portions of my webspace to others? Metanet.net does not warrant the use of subleasing of your domain name. We are offering very competitive rates which should satisfy anyone who needs web space. We put a restriction on subleasing because of the possible abuse that may occur.

6.	Can I have unlimited access to my Web Site? You can have unlimited access to your WebSite via FTP Access or FrontPage 24 hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your Web Pages on your own computer and upload files to your Web Site at your leisure?

7.	How reliable are Metanet.net servers? We never had an outage for the 3 years since we begun our business. We have very experienced Unix administrators managing our servers, and we use server monitoring tools to catch any server problems as they are occuring.

8.	Are Metanet.net servers back up? All of our servers are backed up weekly to Jazz and DAT drives. We employ a redundant group of APC SmartUPS Rack Mounted Network Uninterruptable Power Supply Systems for battery backup. We are able to sustain power outages greater than four hours at full load. We also have a generator that will sustain power outages for up to 3 full days (which is more than sufficient for power to be restored to a centralized location).

9.	How fast is Metanet.net connection? We currently have a 6 multiple redundant T-3's (45MB/sec/each) lines connected to our west coast servers and 5 T-3's for our east coast servers. We use T-3's from major providers such as: 1. UUnet 2. @home 3. Sprint 4. MCI 5. Frontier Global Center 6. Exodus (Updated: 07/06/99)

10.	How much space is 50 Megabytes really? 10 megs of space can hold roughly 3000 pages, so you should be able to have up to 15,000 pages on your site.
